Courses for Preteen Girls

A One Day Course Where Pre-Teen Girls Are Provided With Skills To Navigate Through Those Tricky Teen Years

Scroll Down

The Beautiful Minds Signature One Day Course is for pre-teen girls aged 8-11.  It will help them discover who they are through life skills, fun and inspiration. The course focuses on self-esteem and confidence, something all teenage girls need. All our content has been created by our recommended psychologist and experts.

We only take a very limited number of girls per course so that each course is treated like a mentoring program and each girl has that one-on-one interaction with all of our educators.

Every educator on board with Beautiful Minds is a professional in their field. Working with a number of different educators makes this course really exciting and inspirational for the girls.

FAQs

Why choose Beautiful Minds?

Our award winning programs have been given the tick of approval from the Education Board. That is why we are the sole, content providers for the My Diary school diary’s that is distributed to 1 million Aussie school students. We are also the pioneers in these courses as we launched Beautiful Minds 12 years ago. There was nothing like this back then and we have continued to grow and expand. Today, Beautiful Minds is Australia’s leading provider of educational workshops for teens, delivering sessions to over 34,000 teens annually.

Who writes your courses?

All of our content has been created by our experts at Beautiful Minds (please see our ‘Our Team’ Page) and our team of psychologists. We work with The Indigo Project and a range of others psychologists to regularly update all of our content. We also support headspace as our charity partner and this helps us ensure we are up to date on all relevant facts relating to mental health.

Do you refund a course?
We are able to refund a course if the request is made 3 weeks before the course date. As we take a very limited number of students per course, refunds can only be made 21 days in advance. Any time after that, we can offer you to complete the course on a different date in any one of our locations.
How will a one day course have any impact on my daughter’s/son’s life?

We see incredible results from our one day courses but we at Beautiful Minds do not view them as a one day course. We set the course up as a mentoring program and then encourage all our students to stay in contact with us after the course.

Students can sign up to our online program called BU Online and enjoy an ongoing membership at $9.95 that keeps them feeling supported long after the course wraps up. Our weekly educational videos act as an incredible support system for both parents and teens. We also offer an 8 week course that we have created with our psychologists. This program can be completed by visiting our psychologists and tailoring a package for your teen.

We take the work we are doing at Beautiful Minds very seriously, we are dealing with young lives and so we ensure that our course plus after care options deliver outstanding results.

Our Founder Marina Passalaris is still in contact with students from 11 years ago and last month she attended the wedding of a past student. We were also recently featured in Queensland’s My Weekly Review magazine. They did a case study on past students and where they are now, ten years on. This article can be read in our media section.

Do all Beautiful Minds presenters have their working with children clearances?

Yes they do. This is important to ensure we only hire and work with educators that we can trust.

How are presenters without obvious training in psychology or similar equipped to respond to any wellbeing issues raised by young people during their session?

Every course is overseen by our Founder Marina Passalaris who is on hand throughout every session to address any needs that arise.

Do young people attend on their own or with friends?

This is a personal choice. We have many girls and boys that attend our courses on their own. Yes, they are nervous at first but within the first 30 minutes, they are relaxed and loving it. It is always more fun if they attend with a friend or sibling.

How many people do we have in each course?

All our students are aged between 8 - 11 years of age. To ensure of an intimate setting we take no more then 25 students per course.

Is the course worth $295?

Yes! You cannot put a price on having your teen walking away from a program feeling happier and more self assured.  You are setting them up for life with some incredibly valuable skills and tips. This will be the best money you ever invest in them. To compare, a one off visit with a psychologist is around $280 for an hour. Your teens are spending 7 hours with a team that have created a program developed for them by psychologists. The value is exceptional!

What is the process when there is a disclosure of concern (not child protection related) from a young person during any session?

If we feel that a young person needs further after care and support after our courses, we will contact the parents and engage with them, discussing steps that need to be taken in order to get maximum results.

What about the boys?

Yes, we do offer courses for boys. Boys absolutely need and deserve support. Disengagement from school, lack of confidence, fear of starting a new school, the pressure to look buff, feeling like they cannot express their full range of emotions, limiting gender stereotypes, all are issues plaguing our boys. We believe boys need more strong male role models, which is why our boys course is run by a team of incredible men.

Do you have insurance?

Yes. We have Public Liability Insurance coverage with a highly reputable Australian provider.

What does my teen bring with them to Beautiful Minds?

Comfortable clothing, lunch and water and a big smile!

If your city still has course spots available, it will be listed below. If it is not listed below, it means the course has sold out. #book-now
