Nicola Hepenstall

Nicola Hepenstall – (B.A. (Honours in Psychology) is a highly experienced C-suite leader holding executive director and non-executive director positions spanning education, corporate, government authorities and member organisations.

She has consulted with many of Australia’s largest companies (QANTAS, NAB, ANZ, Seek, iiNet), State Government (Department of Premier & Cabinet, Department of Education) and Federal Government departments (Department of Finance, Department of Social Services, Department of Education) helping them navigate the complexity of the communications environment and develop strategies to enhance business and social outcomes.

Nicola is also a Non-Executive Director of The Front Project focused on ensuring all Australian children have access to high quality early learning to give them the best start in life and South Gippsland Water the authority responsible for delivering critical water services to households and businesses across the region.

Fred Fuchs

Fred Fuchs caught the storytelling bug early and has been involved in the film and television industry as an Independent Producer, Hollywood Film Producer, Canadian Broadcast Executive, and Entertainment Consultant for more than a quarter of a century.

After starting his his career as a producer in Los Angeles working on award-winning television series VIETNAM WAR STORIES for HBO, Fred segued into the feature film industry producing TUCKER: THE MAN AND HIS DREAM (1987), directed by Francis Ford Coppola and executive produced by George Lucas.

Fred then moved to San Francisco and for 10 years was President of American Zoetrope Studios – the visionary production company founded by Coppola and Lucas. Fred has produced seventeen features including THE GODFATHER PART III, BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA, DON JUAN DEMARCO and THE VIRGIN SUICIDES.

His films have been nominated for eleven Academy Awards, and he is an Emmy Award winner. While at Zoetrope Fuchs also started a successful TV division and was Executive Producer for international award-winning miniseries like THE ODYSSEY and MOBY DICK.

Paul Roos

Dr. Andrew Huberman

Dr Andrew Huberman is one of the world’s leading authorities on neuroscience. He is a tenured Professor of Neurobiology at Stanford University and a Board Member of Stanford University.

Andrew is the founder of The Huberman Laboratory – nicknamed the Fear Factory – where his influential work using state-of-the-art tools like virtual reality, gene therapy and electrophysiology has revered vision loss from blinding diseases and eradicated anxiety, fear, trauma and phobia in patients.

Andrew’s work has featured regularly in Time Magazine, Scientific American and Nature magazine.

In the last year he has worked with the US Special Forces and recently was a guest on The Joe Rogen Experience. His appearance has been watched over three million times on YouTube.

Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk

Bessel van der Kolk MD spends his career studying how children and adults adapt to traumatic experiences and has translated emerging findings from neuroscience and attachment research to develop and study a range of treatments for traumatic stress in children and adults.

He is the author of the No.1 New York Times Bestseller – The Body Keeps the Score. His book is considered the finest ever written on PTSD and trauma.

Dr. Branton Shearer

Branton Shearer is a developmental psychologist who received his master's degree at Harvard University and his Ph.D. in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation at the Union Institute.

He received a U.S. Department of Education Innovation Grant to study the use of the multiple intelligences to enhance cognitive functioning following brain trauma. He initially created The Multiple Intelligences Developmental Scales (MIDAS) in 1987. In his private practice he counselled adults, adolescents and their families to improve educational / vocational achievement and personal satisfaction. He conducts workshops for teachers and school administrators interested in implementing MI theory.

The MIDAS assessment has been translated into Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Dutch, German, Greek, Persian, Arabic, and Bahasa and has been completed by over 50,000 people world- wide. It is being used in schools in more than 25 different countries.

Dr. David Sortino

Dr David Sortino holds a master’s degree in human development from Harvard University and a Ph.D. in Clinical psychology from Saybrook University.

He is a Neuroscientist, Author and Educational Consultant and the Director of the Neurofeedback Institute of Sonoma County. His book – The Promised Cookie was a national bestseller on Amazon and a script based off his experience working in some of America’s most disadvantaged schools was recently purchased by a well-known production company in Hollywood.

Dr. Tami Roos

Dr Tami Roos is an author, instructor and a highly sought-after speaker. She has a degree in International Commerce, an MBA and a PhD in Parapsychic Science. She is considered one of Australia's leading wellbeing coaches.

She has trained global leaders, CEO's and AFL teams in the power of mindfulness.

Rabbi Mordecai Finley

Rabbi Mordecai Finley is one of the spiritual leaders of Ohr HaTorah Synagogue and a former sergeant in the US Marines. He received his doctorate in Religion-Social Ethics from the University of Southern California.

In addition to his work at Ohr HaTorah, he runs a small counselling practice which uses insights from many school and traditions, most notably: Philosophy (early-mid Plato and the Stoics, most especially), Neo-Platonism, Jung and neo-Jungians plus a range of modern psychological schools of thought, object relations theorists, and existential and humanist psychology. Through his doctorate in Religion, as well as his own spiritual search, he has familiarity with other religious-spiritual traditions: Hindu (especially Pantanjali and Raja Yoga), Tibetan Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, and Sufi Mysticism.

Noted for his unique teaching skills, his eloquence and ability to simply and clearly articulate truths about the human condition through teaching Bible, mysticism, Kabbalah, spirituality, and moral psychology, he has changed many people’s lives.

Ryan Soave

Ryan Soave famously taught Congress to meditate. He is a trauma therapist, Director of the APN Lodge – a world-class treatment facility in the Colorado Mountains and a researcher at the Huberman Lab at Stanford University working with Dr Andrew Huberman.

He has extensive experience working with complex posttraumatic stress disorder and unresolved trauma. He is an expert in the practices and teachings of mindfulness. Ryan believes that each individual has the path to healing within.

National Events Manager
Eve has been working as a director and events manager for the the last 5 years upon graduating with a Bachelor of Communications (Theatre/Media) from Charles Sturt University. She has a wealth of experience in the implantation of small to large scale events both nationally and internationally. Eve has also worked for educational theatre company Brainstorms Productions, touring Australia presenting workshops to young people around bullying and mental health. Her hard work placed her in the final four where she was the last female standing. Through the media scrutiny, Lauryn knows all too well how to deal with online bullying and the negative press that is often incorrect and toxic. Caitlin is a proud multicultural woman, social entrepreneur and activist. She is the Founder & CEO of Jasiri Australia, an international youth-led movement. At 22 she was listed on the Forbes 30 Under 30 for founding the Girls Takeover Program, an international bipartisan program. Her advocacy efforts in youth development and gender equality have seen her named as the youngest winner of Australia’s ‘100 Women of Influence’ and Women’s Weekly ‘Women of the Future’. As a survivor of gender-based violence, Caitlin recognised the impact of not having a voice. That’s why, at 23 years old, she became the youngest Vice Chair of the Australian Youth Affairs Coalition. She has worked nationally and globally with politicians, government departments, World Vision, Plan International and the United Nations. She currently sits on three United Nations Task Forces and was named an Obama White House Changemaker for Gender Equality by Michelle Obama and a Queens Young Leader.

Her mission is to help young girls quieten that voice in their head and start embodying the true beauties they are. Gratitude and Resilience
Brendon is a screenwriter for Warner Bros. He has worked on hit shows such as Revenge and Boyhood. Brendon studied at the exclusive Stanford University in California, one of the world's leading teaching and research institutions. His session with our boys focuses on gratitude and building resilience through creative writing. Our boys will learn how to use writing as a way to release their emotions, making them stronger and happier.
