What our attendees think...
Introduction to Beautiful Minds. How to gain confidence, first impressions, public speaking, presence, posture, body language and speech. The art of meeting new people, what to say as a conversation starter, the perfect handshake and how to strike up a conversation with someone you have never met.
We cover these topics:
How do we see ourselves and why? Being your own worst enemy, not your own best friend. How can we become our own best friend? The destructive aspects of the ego that can bring about poor self-esteem - repeating thought patterns and how can we overcome them.
Self doubt holding you back
What is an introvert? What is an extrovert? How can an introvert be comfortable with taking steps to move forward personally and professionally? What is doubt and what role does it play in our lives? What is trust? How can trust in yourself be brought about? The value of failing and not being overcome by shame, fear or negativity, and the benefits and honour in even trying. What makes successful people successful people.
Respect for self, respect for women
What is respect, and what does it mean to have respect? How does self-respect (or the lack thereof) contribute to the poor treatment of other people and how can we help raise our own self-respect. What problems or issues do young women have to deal with growing up? If we can highlight some of these issues and talk about them with young males, we can discuss the similarities between the wants and needs of the two genders whilst celebrating the differences we do have.
Becoming young gentlemen
How ‘men’ truly should act. What does it mean to be a man? What does it mean to be a gentleman? The strength that it takes to be a Gentleman.
What does it mean to be a racist? How racism often stems from a lack of understanding about a certain race or how negative stereotypes can be fed via the media, other family members, friends etc. Introduce the concept of taking each and every individual as a person in their own right and not falling into the trap of judging an entire race based on experiences with one person, or one group of people. How would it feel to have the shoe on the other foot?
Every educator on board with Beautiful Minds is a professional in their field. They all have their own businesses and working with a number of different educators makes this course really exciting and inspirational for the boys.
